Change has come to the French Baker’s look, feel, and menu. After over a decade of serving their specialty fresh breads and baked goods in airy café surroundings, the noted bakery brand has begun giving its thirty-seven branches a makeover, changing them into what CEO Johnlu Koa calls “the Parisian brasserie” look. At the French Baker’s newest branch, on the second floor of the just-opened SM City Marikina, shoppers are greeted by the new cozy atmosphere. The shop, done mostly in warm wood tones and given character by murals on the walls and an LCD-screen display, invites shoppers to take their time in selecting from the freshly-made breads and baked goods that the store offers. There is also an all-new menu, featuring favorite dishes such as Soup in a Bread Bowl, Chicken Ala King, Spicy Seafood Pasta along with new entrees such as Beef Burgundy, Honey Roast Pork Al Orange, Fish A La Meunier and more. |

The packaged breads and baked goods are piled on accessible shelves right at the entrance, while the fresh goods are displayed behind clear glass. A small refrigerator off to the side also keeps their dessert cakes at optimum temperature conditions.
